An archeology site showing the remains of an ancient city estimated to date back approximately 4000 years in the "City of David" national park near the East Jerusalem village of Silwan on Feb' 1, 2009..The "City of David" excavation is funded primarily by the "Elad foundation" driven by a Jewish religious ideology known for its controversial attempts to buy land in east Jerusalem, and clear them of their Arab inhabitants, and re occupy them with Jewish settlers....
more » An archeology site showing the remains of an ancient city estimated to date back approximately 4000 years in the "City of David" national park near the East Jerusalem village of Silwan on Feb' 1, 2009..The "City of David" excavation is funded primarily by the "Elad foundation" driven by a Jewish religious ideology known for its controversial attempts to buy land in east Jerusalem, and clear them of their Arab inhabitants, and re occupy them with Jewish settlers. in the "city of David" a national park, an archaeological dig is being conducted. villagers say that digs extend underneath their homes. the park, along with its dig site, is located in the middle of the village silwan, and literally engulfs several homes who's owners are allowed to walk through the site in order to enter their houses.
