Israeli Labor Party supporters are dismayed while watching the first exit polls at the somewhat empty Party headquarters in the David Intercontinental Hotel in Tel Aviv, predicting a devastating drop in the Party's power in the parliamentary elections that were held today, Tuesday, February 10, 2009. Labor leader, Ehud Barak has not yet arrived at the assembly, and there is speculation as to whether or not he will come at all. Spirits are low as the projections by Israel's three main TV stations, give the party approximately 13 seats in Israel's parliament, putting them only in fourth place, with ultra right-wing Avigdor Lieberman's party securing 15 mandates in the poll.
