Protesters seen during the clashes that erupted this morning between Umm al-Fahm residents and Israeli police, as the Arab residents vowed not to allow the right wing activist Baruch Marzel to enter the city in order to act as chairman of one of the ballot stations in the city, Tuesday, February 10, 2009. The controversial decision to have Marzel serve as a ballot station chairman in the Arab city of Umm al-Fahm was eventually overturned by Israeli police who stopped Marzel not far from the city, claiming that his entrance was prohibited so as not to endanger public safety.
