From Russia with love: The two white tigers that were given as a gift from the Moscow Zoo in Russia to Haifa's Educational Zoo are seen in their new home in Israel's northern city of Haifa, Thursday, April 16th 2009. The tigers, a brother and sister pair, arrived in Israel on Monday April the 13th. According to the Director of Moscow's Zoo, Dr Vladimir V. Spitsin, it is the policy of the Moscow zoo to separate cubs from their parents. Reportedly, the original gift was to consist of only one white tiger cub, until Russia's Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin, intervened on Israel's behalf, and arranged for Israel to be presented with two such tigers.
